British electronic music producer Sam Shepherd, known as Floating Points, collaborated with the late jazz legend Pharaoh Sanders and the London Symphony Orchestra during the global pandemic to create the conceptual album Promises. Through a concerto-like structure, Shepherd and Sanders highlight Sanders' improvisational performance, crafting a sonic experience that bridges improvisational jazz, ambient music, and electronic experimentation.
