British electronic musician Jon Hopkins' conceptual album Ritual is an expansive work composed of eight chapters, forming a 41-minute electronic symphony. Inspired by "ritual," "liberation," and "the hero's journey," it taps into ancient and primal energies. In 2022, he was invited to compose immersive experience music for the London art project Dreamachine, which sparked the creation of this deeply ritualistic album. Through the creative process of Dreamachine, Hopkins crafted a grand spatial soundscape that embodies an immersive, live feel, marking a culmination of his 22-year music career.
