Canadian ambient music and sound artist Michael Scott Dawson is known for his warm and intimate field recordings, creating romantic and tranquil sonic landscapes. He enjoys weaving guitar tones into the framework of ambient music, using tape loops and field recordings to craft compositions that are both warm and nostalgic. Because of this, he is often described as a "warm ambient musician.” The inspiration for Music For Listening came from conversations with his 95-year-old grandmother, particularly her observations of birds outside her window.
