Tokyo visual artist and producer Soshi Takeda created Floating Mountains during the COVID-19 pandemic using a 1990s synthesizer and sampler. Inspired by a Chinese landscape photograph, the album explores themes of the cosmos and Orientalism with "cosmic drift" and crystalline electronic sounds.
